James Robinson fronts the band with his vast live experience, unique vocals and guitar playing. He exudes personality and has a fantastic entertaining presence. Lorna Blackwood is the bands female lead vocalist who has performed with London’s top bands for many years and is currently one of the UK’s top session and live vocalists.

Platinum Band has provided live music entertainment for the 900 celebrity strong British Soap Awards after-show party for the last 6 years, various celebrity weddings, as well as providing the live music at many great venues and well known company parties including BBC, ITV, Vodafone, RBS, HSBC, EMI, Fujitsu, Orange and Shell. The band is also a favourite for Jewish events, performing all over the world, offering a superb Jewish package. |

The band does not employ the use of any pre-recorded backing tracks so that its acts are 100% live and spontaneous.

Platinum Band comes with male and female vocals as standard, ensuring that your guests get a wide variety of songs throughout the night. The band’s standard 6 piece line up also includes a saxophone. Very often, clients add our 3 piece brass section. The brass players the uses are all extremely experienced, having worked with bands such as Incognito, Basement Jaxx and The Brand New Heavies.
